Linda is a multi-media artist based in London, UK. Her preferred mediums are paint, charcoal and ceramic.
In her works, she portrays places which feel familiar and which appear desolate, yet convey a sense of spiritual fullness.
She is inspired by the patterns of nature, by the traditions and ways of being of the ancient times as well as by the Renaissance realism and Orthodox Iconography.
She uses rolled canvas due its rough and raw feel and doesn't frame her works in the conventional way, but uses unpolished wood sticks to hang them on the wall. With regards to ceramics, her work is mainly focused on mask and tile making.
The message in Linda's art is about finding alternatives, it is about questioning what has been presented before us and seeking a deeper connection to our hearts.
Her current exhibition, "Firmamente Fede", is a visual reflection on faith and how the sensation of believing without seeing looks like for the artist. The "Holy Mary" becomes an inspiration for our spirit to grow upwards, and "angels" become the representation of this transformation. Among all the luminaries, the moon is the main protagonist with her symbolism of both creativity and hope.
